UNMATCHABLE MARKETING!

This is the first day when I start promoting my blog. I think that I’ve written enough stuff for the search engines, and that from now on I will have to concentrate more on the harder stuff (get this blog to be famous).

This first day I will start promoting my blog, by submitting it to directories.
There are some automated directory submitters, and one of the best way to submit it is manual submission. I will try them both.

The main problem with new born websites, is that people work so hard to build them that they start to be lazy when it comes to promotion. And this is one of the most important things that you have to do.

If you want to promote a blog, and not a website by using online directory submission, you can find a lot of directories that only accept blogs. This way you will be sure to get the targeted public for your blog.

So I started out a new google adwords campaign for an insurance offer that converted really good on yahoo search marketing. I’ve managed to get a really big list of keywords, and everything was looking good. I was expecting to see some good conversion rates, and a good ROI. But that never happened.

I’ve spent around $40, and earned only $17.

Where did I go wrong on this one?

Well I allowed google to show my ads on its content network. So what my campaign did was having a lot of impressions from their content network, and just a couple of clicks. It is well known that these publishers networks can be a tricky place to do business. A lot of these publishers are just people that do PPC arbitrage that isnt quite bringing in value to the clicks, they just buy cheap clicks and sell them by using adsense.
You can either earn a lot of money and get a great ROI, or you could just get some dollars burned away.

SO what I’m saying is that when you first start a new advertising campaign with google be sure to turn off the publisher network. And only after you see good results with the search network, try to diversify by starting to use the publisher network.

The design of a blog is really important. Because it’s your image. There are many blogs that look the same, as millions with the template that is installed at the beginning, and this way it’s hard to get out of the crowd, and become successful. It’s also looking good with some adsense ads. It just makes you wanna click. But there is still time before I start putting up some adsense ads.

First I want to make 1k posts, and after that I want to start a link campaign, with tons of linking from many websites. There are many ways you can promote a blog. I intend in the future to start writing a blog about how to promote a blog. That will be cool.

This is one of the most!!! And I really mean it THE MOST important thing about a blog, make it to be popular. This can happen in just 1 day, all you need is to have that 1 creative, unique idea about giving out something cool, that will make other people tell the world around them about it. Here I will give you some examples of the people that managed to do that: Shoemoney, posted a photo with him and his big adsense check, and he got a lot of backlinks from all the other bloggers. There was this guy who tatooed some websites he loved on his arm, he got tons of links to his blog. And I’m sure that there are many success stories out there where people were able to break thru by having this unique cool idea.

I’m trying to do my best with this blog, and I think that I will make a buzz like this in the future. Right now there is this first month, where I want to make it look good, and have lots of content. I love websites that have a lot of content and this is what I’m going to give back.

If you are sending links with commercial websites to your friends, they wont be that happy about.

In order to have a lot of visitors when you are trying to promote a blog, you must have a lot of friends, this way a large number of people will just come there.

There are so many ways you could promote your blog, I really hope you will be able to get some traffic.
