This year (2007) I was able to go to the New York City SES (Search Engine Strategies). This was the first event that I was able to attend and it was great.
I managed to learn a couple of things, came back from that event with a lot of ideas. I met shoemoney, and I also met haiko (the founder abestweb forum) and some other friends from abestweb. It was interesting meeting all these web gurus that are earning right now more than $1m/year.
I enjoyed the expo where all the big reputable companies had a representant and I was able to make a lot of contacts, ask a lot of questions.
