While surfing I’ve found a blog that has a list of many online niches that are very profitable right now. It’s really interesting to see because there are so so many, and it can give you some ideas on what industry you could start a website, if you are running out of ideas. Many of those that are listed there are sure to be profitable, because all the niches that I’m working right now are in that list. I’ve wrote a post few days ago about sitepal.com, where I was saying that I’m going to test out their tool to improve conversion rates for one of my lead generation website. And I’ve promissed that I’m going to write after some days of tests. And so far it proved to be a success.

The conversion rate of that website has grown! I cant tell you exactly by what percentage, but it’s something like that website used to have a negative ROI, and now it’s positive, for example yesterday the profit for that website that uses sitepal.com was $78, and so far today it looks that it’s going to be another day with a positive ROI.

So before I start to do any other move, and invest some money into this thing, I’m going to give it some more time to see if the conversion rates will remain up. And also I want to build another website, that will be made for sitepal, and that will have a space suited for the shop assistant.

The next step will be to buy a professional shop assistant from live face on web, that are offering some really great actors that could help you out with your website.

Again I will keep you updated if livefaceonweb.com is improving my conversion rates for some of my websites.

Okay so, while surfing I was able to find a cool website (http://www.sitepal.com), that claims to improve your conversion rates by 40%. This website is able to offer you a shop assistant, that will talk with your visitors, this way your website will be more friendly, and people will consider your offer more interesting for them.

Here I will post a screenshot of the shop assistant that I’ve created. I’ve selected a woman because women are more friendly and most of the sales people are women. I would personally enjoy more seeing a woman, than a man, on any website.

This website sitepal.com is offering a free 15 days trial, no cost no obligation. So I signed up, to test it. They are also offering a 30 day money back guarantee after that 15 days of free trial ends.

Regarding the voice that will talk to your costumers, you can let them record with a professional voice what you want to be said, you can record it yourself by using your computer microphone, or you can just simply enter the text in a box, and it will be read by their computer generated voice. I’ve selected the last option since is the fastest, and it’s pretty good.

I will let you know how my conversion rates will change, and if it’s worth the trouble to install something like that on your website. I had it installed on a lead generation website, where the conversion rate is vital. Even if I have a conversion rate increase of 20% it will mean a lot to me ($10-20k more per month). So I definetely would love to work with them.

And while doing some more research, I have found another similar website that offers some services that are more professional, it’s called www.livefaceonweb.com. Here you will get an actual actor on your website, that will move and say whatever you want. This one is not offering a free trial, but prices here start from $300. In the future, if sitepal.com proves to be successful I will use LiveFace, because their shop assistants look a lot better :).

I just signed up for DigitalPoint forum, and I’ve spent a lot of time today answering to a lot of members question. There are many interesting threads out there on that forum, and there are more users than abestweb. The forum is bigger, a lot more information. If you are a webmaster you must definetely join that forum.

What I didnt like, is that it’s not as friendly as abestweb is. There isnt a place where people could start offtopic threads.

The forums about online marketing can be very useful, to get to know what’s going on in the webmaster world, but in the same time they are able to cosume a lot of your time. So if you are not employed, and work on your own, this is not a good thing. If you are reading and answering these forums, time just passes by and you will find at the end of the day that you havent acheived anything for that day. So my personal advice is that you spend just half an hour per day reading these kind of forums, because you will become addicted!

It didnt have to take a long time until this happened. If you remember google paid not so long time ago $1.6 Billions for youtube.com now they have to get some cash out of that. And what better way than to put up ads during the video that you are watching, in a corner. I have attached a printscreen of the youtube ads. It’s the ad for THE SIMPSONS Movie, at the end of this post.

Google says that they will be charging $20 for 1000 views. Which is a small price for a CPM ad. Only big companies will afford to do this kind of advertising, it’s kind of expensive and it’s only good for branding.

Some users are annoyed with the new ad system. Ads are never welcome anywhere.:) But they must make a buck or two in order to keep this service free. I guess the adsense money wasnt enough for them.

In the future the users will get used to the ads and they wont be that bothered to see them, I think they will be happy to see when they change, because probabily at the beginning they will only see a couple of ads over and over again. And also in the future we might see some targeting, so if you watch a movie about ice cream you will get an ice cream ad. Hehe not quite a good example but hey ;P

So Google will be earning a lot more from youtube.com and also another important thing is that they are planning to share a part of their income with the users, so if you are good at making cool videos for youtube you will be getting a share. Since they are planning to make a partnership program.

 I have just installed a new cool template for my website. It’s called GlossyBlue. And it’s really looking good. The moment I saw it I knew it will perfectly fit my blog.

Another good thing about this template is that it first shows the content to the users and to the search engines, which is really great. For example with the other template in google I was able only to get my categories posted in google’s results so far. This will change. So what I’m saying is that this new template not only it looks better, but also it’s more search engine friendly. So if you are interested in getting tons of traffic from a search engine start using it or a similar template that puts the content in the left and the other things in the right.

The design of a blog is really important. Because it’s your image. There are many blogs that look the same, as millions with the template that is installed at the beginning, and this way it’s hard to get out of the crowd, and become successful. It’s also looking good with some adsense ads. It just makes you wanna click. But there is still time before I start putting up some adsense ads.

First I want to make 1k posts, and after that I want to start a link campaign, with tons of linking from many websites. There are many ways you can promote a blog. I intend in the future to start writing a blog about how to promote a blog. That will be cool.

I have read a lot of content from blogs/forums & other places about black hat. I see that there are many people out there understanding how a search engine works, how other types of promoting a website works, and they do post a lot of step by step blackhat ways you could earn money that are simple and I’m sure that they will work.

I think that the black hat SEO is something that will only earn you money for a limited period of time, it depends in the way you are seeing your online business, for example if you want to build something that will last for many years from now on, you must really bring value to the web. By using black hat and other non christian ways of bringing in the traffic, this will only let you build a business that can always dissapear, you wont be sure that tomorrow you will be earning money.

Anyway you must understand that the businesses that created the most profit in the history of mankind were whitehat. And also these kind of businesses were able to survive thru time, and they will alway remain there.

I used to like the blackhats ways of making money online, but in the meantime I’ve learned that there is always more work for the blackhat, even if you hit jackpot from time to time, you will always have to work, and create more ways of making money.

Also to use the black hat you must have more skills than to use the white hat.

If you want to make money fast and not for a long time choose black hat, if you want to build something that will last forever, use the white one.

You can get massive amounts of traffic by using the white hat.
